Good-Bye ROSELAND

Very SORRY due to the increasing "high rents" in New York City. The Legendary ROSELAND ballroom will be closing it's doors in April of 2014. I'm deeply sadden by this news because in my youth, I spent countless hours entertaining at ROSELAND.

Either dancing for the crowd, Shaking my ass on the stage during several of The BLACK PARTY venues during the early 1990's or being hired with several "PERKS" to perform artistic LIVE-Safe-Sex acts on stage with the guys I pre-selected earlier in the day at the meeting, Imagine sitting in a room with every porn star you have ever masturbated to and now they are here, ready to engage. Working at THE BLACK PARTY as a sex performer was an experience, I will NEVER have again and one I will never forget. I had an exclusive chance to work with some of the most gorgeous California Blonde-tanned-to-death Porn Stars of their day.

I always remember after we would all perform at THE BLACK PARTY, We would either met-up or go all night until Sound Factory Bar opened or I was hosting a night or doing the guest list at LIMELIGHT.

I was the only African-American (Black dude) in the mix with all of Chi Chi LaRue's entourage...this was my weekend activity because THE BLACK PARTY is always held the last weekend in March at ROSELAND (Coincidently a few weeks after my birthday)...NO MORE!!! The space is grande and the energy every year I was asked to perform was electrifying. The opportunity to perform on the Robin Byrd show "BANG YOUR BOX" before our LIVE performances was always a TREAT!!! If you've never met Robin Byrd, I'm sorry for you she is an AMAZING WOMAN!!!!! with a HEART of GOLD!!!!

My MTV association being on one of their more successful shows of ALL-TIME "THE GRIND". Several of the castmates and myself were asked to participate in the taping of the show, We did a New Years Eve special at ROSELAND, Hosted by Halle Berry "Before her Academy-Award" and SUPER-SEXY!!!!-Dan Cortese...We were ringing in 1993 with Boyz II Men (All of them), Mary J. Blige, Spin Doctors, Extreme, Arrested Development and a few more (I think) desperately looking to retrieve that footage.
