Gratitude towards Belasco & The HUN-Two AMAZING artist I appreciate like such other greats... Ira C. Smith, Rex, Sepp of Vienna, Bastille, Beau, Harry Bush and so many, many more.
The decision to distribute The DARK WORLD Chronicles
as a self-published paperback comic book drew largely in part from my
collection of mail-order comics (which ultimately drove my passion
overboard). Two of the main outlets for this source of creativity came
from well-established artist known by the pseudonym; Belasco & The HUN.
14.The BAD BOYS Collection
THANK YOU so much for viewing.

My
hubby had contacted The HUN at one point (sometime around 1999) and I
was lucky enough to receive a letter from him, Once I locate it in my
archives-It will be posted. The HUN told me he admired my work and if
memory serves me well he may have given me some advice on how to proceed
with the business of selling my story etc. etc. I have never had the
esteem pleasure of meeting Belasco but I did work side-by-side with an
associates of his in 2004 @ The TOM of FINLAND Erotic Art Fair in New
York, A gentleman name Alan. The photo attached to this post are only a
few of the paperback comics from my Belasco & The HUN
collection...I'm a fan and a student.
Thank You both for planting the seed!!!

Beyond the countless illustrations displayed on this blog and on the "official" website-"CLICK HERE"
There exist about 5-10 illustrations (more) for each drawing (you see here) not showcased.
The blog is to promote interest in the over-all concept of this graphic novel.
Each illustration is merely a SAMPLE
for current patrons and future patrons, Allowing access into the
artwork and the various themes associated with some renderings.

NOTE: At any point when you are viewing any of the illustrations from The DARK WORLD Chronicles if and when there are misspelled or used in-correct grammatical errors, This is not indicative of the entire text of the graphic novel.
The main character (Thackery Warner) early on in his mentally
capacity suffered a mild case of dyslexia, For this reason when he is
trying to communicate with his alter-ego the artist, the collaboration
is not always cohesive in transaction.
The manuscript for the graphic novel was proofread and edited
by-ASSTR Proofreaders and Editors Center using the agent (Stacey
Donovan). Her resume is quit impressive.
Posting this to insure current & future readers of The DARK
WORLD Chronicles about the substance of the work and it's evocative
mission...
KEEP on READING!!!
Enjoy,

Doing some research online and came across this intriguing article about "Graphic Narratives/Graphic Novels".
Here are a few interesting highlights:
1.-Graphic novel is a book-length story (tale) told in a medium of comics.
2.-If
we define imagination narrowly as visualization then perhaps we need to
RETHINK!. However, imagination is not merely visualization. Webster’s
definition suggests that it is the “act or power of forming a mental
image of something not present to the senses or never before wholly
perceived in reality” (online).
3.-The more we can actively and
interestedly perceive, you see, the wider becomes the field on which our
imaginations can work. It is imagination that enables us to reach
beyond, to open up those possibilities. Imagination invents, you
realize; it discloses alternative realities. . . . If it were not for
imagination, we could not form . . . . mental images of what-is-not
where actual existence is concerned. Graphic narratives require our full
engagement—perceiving, imagining, interpreting—to make sense of the
experience of the text and to move into the world the author creates.
4.-In
graphic narratives, the images do not merely signify, they also
suggest, and those suggestions are at the heart of our reading.
5.-one
can never completely ‘escape’ into a comic book because its
form—impressionistic illustrations of people, places, and things—reminds
us at every turn (or panel) that what we are experiencing is a
representation”.
The tension between imagination and representation,
which readers may experience only subconsciously, is one of the features
of visual thinking.
6.-Furthermore, literacy requires not only
the ability to make meaning of a text but also the abilities to create
and communicate meanings in whatever form is necessary for an audience.
When we consider our need to read images and multimodal texts and the
multiple forms for communicating meaning such as tweets, blogs, and
podcasts, as well as print and visual texts, we can see the complexity
of the concept of literacy.
Thank You!!!
