Paula Bergon and Billy Oliver |
ANY Information on the whereabouts of my friend from high school. We bonded over-Culture Club,Boy George,Siouxsie & the Banshees,The Cure,The Housemartins,Echo & the Bunnymen,The Cult,The Clash,Yaz,Depeche Mode,The Pretenders,Erasure,The SMITHS,Alison Moyet,Helen Terry,Wham U.K,George Michael,Marc Almond,Frankie Goes to Hollywood,Nina Haygen and so much more GOOD MUSIC that Billy introduced to me.Remember sleeping outside of Madison Square Garden and The (gone) Felt Forum over night, all night just to be number one at the box office for whatever group we saw and we saw some of the BEST!
Last time I saw him was 1992 but I did see his sister Kim in 1996 and she told me he was doing well. Last known location was a house in Hoboken,Where he lived with his mother Gloria Oliver and his brother Joey Oliver.Billy also has another sibling name Rodney Oliver.
Billy's full name is William Clemet Oliver the 3rd or at least thats what he told me in high school.
I've searched high and low for you my dear friend.
Hope time has been GOOD to YOU,Miss you with all my heart-Life isn't the same without a little Billy Oliver injected into it.
Recently UNCOVERED some of the home videos we use to make together when we were dreaming of being a musical act.Enjoy the videos, They are from 1985-86 when we found a camera someone left in a cab in the Bronx in 1985.We went crazy trying to figure out...What to record and how it should look to our future selves.BEST TIMES of my life.
At this point I had only just moved to NYC a few months earlier and me and Billy became friends "QUICK". I was the loud and very PROUD gay guy and he was the quintessential "Blitz Kid" straight-out-of-London (again) this is all according to the countless hours of conversation spent with Billy. We lived very close to each other also in the Bronx so that made it very easy to be "BEST FRIENDS".
Let's rename this post-Desperately Seeking Billy???
Feeling very nostolgic about my friend and posting this and praying he is still among us.
SIDE NOTE-
You have to remember this was the BIRTH of MTV and music videos were poppin up everywhere, So why couldn't a group of guys do it also.
FUN TIMES!
