When I started working @ The Spike which was across the street from The Eagle...I was so young and the salary was good but the tips were BETTER!!! My family had NO IDEA and niether did most of My close friends (back then). I choose 2 keep it all very QUIET!-C.T was the owner and he had this gorgeous motorcycle, He was also black ..Very NICE Guy, He hired Me on the spot with very little experience...I was so young and I could drink for FREE! and other stuff it was a MAGICAL TIME & i cherish all of those incredible memories-FUCK YOU, Andrew...Still!!!!!! Growing-Up in the Leather scene in Vintage New York City...

My duties were coat-check, barback, room monitor-It was forbidden to dance even playing Donna Summer non-stop. Here was the very COOL Element about The Spike (few knew) on Sunday I got a little extra pay because We would turn the bar decor into a Brunch Space and I was the food preparer and expeditor to chief Andrew.

Mostly GOOD TIMES!!!

Fast-forward a few years and I would return 2 The Leather scene as a weekly featured artist at The Lure...Drawing & Painting in assless chaps...Saving up for The Saint @ Large Black Parties, I worked there also for a good stretch of years...Save those tales for another time.

I was privileged 2 go to The Saint once, saw "Dead or Alive" perform there...As Pete Burns descended down upon the crowd like an erogenous Angel in fish-net stockings and a leather motorcycle jacket.
