When I started working @ The Spike which was across the street from The Eagle...I was so young and the salary was good but the tips were BETTER!!! My family had NO IDEA and niether did most of My close friends (back then). I choose 2 keep it all very QUIET!-C.T was the owner and he had this gorgeous motorcycle, He was also black ..Very NICE Guy, He hired Me on the spot with very little experience...I was so young and I could drink for FREE! and other stuff it was a MAGICAL TIME & i cherish all of those incredible memories-FUCK YOU, Andrew...Still!!!!!! Growing-Up in the Leather scene in Vintage New York City...

My duties were coat-check, barback, room monitor-It was forbidden to dance even playing Donna Summer non-stop. Here was the very COOL Element about The Spike (few knew) on Sunday I got a little extra pay because We would turn the bar decor into a Brunch Space and I was the food preparer and expeditor to chief Andrew. |
