#NY10, from the bottom of my heart, thank you. I am humbled to be your Democratic nominee for Congress. I have immense respect for the other candidates in the field and look forward to working with them to achieve our shared progressive vision for this city and our democracy.

Heavy reliers on Pell Grants: Black people
The Pell Grant move (canceling 20K in student loan for those making less than $125,000) is especially targeting Black folks. It doesn't spell it out in the early announcements, but it's clear as day. Anyone who went to an HBCU knows the Pell Grant struggle. This is HUGE.

Democrats: $10,000.00
Republicans: $0.00
Progressive Socialist: Fuck Democrats
Make it make sense!
If Republicans attack you for loving Biden, lean into it. You SHOULD love Biden, he's the most successful first term pres of either party we've seen in decades! pic.twitter.com/EkXW7nFUdl

Not to be overlooked: President Biden is also extending the pause on student loan debt repayments through the end of the year.

Another thing I think needs to be emphasized in response to the "this is unfair to people who didn't go to college" talking point is: if you've ever needed a teacher, or a nurse, then you damn well benefit from college being affordable even if you never go there yourself. https://t.co/sKI1eyCFwf
